To manage when and how drivers are prompted to download the Chain Driver App, you can configure a message sequence under:
Settings > App Download

Default Message Configuration
If no custom configuration is created, the following default sequence is used:
Message | Timing | Message Content |
Message 1 | 8 hours before origin appointment (or earliest stop) | “Hello, this is {{workspace.displayName}}. We have you picking up a load for us in {{origin.warehouse.address.city}} {{origin.warehouse.address.stateCode}}. This load requires tracking using the Chain Driver App. Please accept tracking. A $150 fee per day will incur for non-compliance.” |
Message 2 | 1 minute after Message 1 | “Download here: {{appLink}}” |
Message 3 | 2 hours after Message 2 | “We still don't see tracking accepted. Please accept ASAP: {{appLink}}” |
Message 4 | 1 hour after Message 3 | “Final warning, you will be noted for non-compliance for not enabling tracking. Download the Chain Driver App to remain compliant: {{appLink}}” |
How Message Timing Works
Default Trigger: 4 hours before the origin appointment time (if available)
No Stop Info Present: If no stops or appointment time exists, the driver will receive the message immediately upon being added.
Follow-up Messages: These continue only if the app has not been downloaded and tracking not accepted.
What is the link to download the Chain driver app?
The link will always be the same for iPhone and Android:
http://one.trychain.com/driver
When this link is clicked on a mobile phone, it will redirect the driver to the Chain Driver app in the App Store or Google Play Store. If the driver already has the app installed, the app will open.
What happens when the driver clicks on the link?
The driver is automatically directed to the Chain Driver app in the App Store or Google Play Store. If the driver already has the app installed, the app will open.
The driver can then download the app and log in with their Chain credentials.
