Below is a template you can use to add instructions or language on your rate con emails.

In terms of "non-compliance" fees, we've seen some customers put exact amounts like $150 non-compliance fee that can be deducted from the rate-cons.

Often, we see customers take the carrier rate, and split it in two on the RateCon. For example, let's say the carrier rate is $1000. They may split it to be $850 + $150 tracking compliance to total the $1000. This gives leverage to help achieve very high tracking percentages.

Hi,

Thank you for the truck!

We require our drivers to track via the Chain Driver app or through ELD. Failure to comply may result in a non-compliance fine deducted from your Rate. See instructions below:

ELD TRACKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Visit the ELD onboarding page here:
    https://app.trychain.com/carrier-onboarding

  2. Verify your DOT/MC on Chain if you have not already

  3. Choose from the list of ELD devices and follow the instructions to connect your ELD

  4. Make sure to provide us with the correct truck or asset number that will be assigned on the load

  5. If your ELD is not on the list, proceed with the Chain Driver Instructions below, and email support@trychain.com with your DOT#, ELD provider, along with your ELD provider's contact information.

CHAIN DRIVER INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Download App from link your driver received via text message.

  2. Enter cell phone number.

  3. The driver will then receive a text with a 6 digit code.

  4. Please enter the six digit code, there will be a pop up about allowing access/location sharing.

  5. Set your location sharing to Always Allow.

  6. Select Allow Notifications.

  7. Open the load under My Loads and click the green button that says "Start load".

  8. Tracking must remain on for the entire duration of the load. Failure to do so may result in a non-compliance fine deducted from your rate
