Email notifications for shipment chat messages

1. Go inside of Chain

2. Click your "Avatar" at the top and select "Settings"​

3. This will take you to your "Profile" page. Can you scroll down to "Notification Settings" and then click Manage notifications

4. Under the section that says Shipment Chat Messages, click "Edit"

5. Then, next to Email, select Always​

Email options:

  • "Always" - this will always send email notifications for shipment chat messages

  • "When Offline" - this will only send you email notifications when you are offline

  • "Never" - If you never want to receive any email notifications, select "Never"

Message Filters:

  • Non-Team Members Only: This will only send you email notifications for messages from carriers

  • All Message: this will send you email notifications from carriers and from other people from your company. So if your team member sends a message, you will receive this as an email notification

  • None: an alternative way to not get any message notifications

Receive Automated Messages

  • When enabled, you will receive email notifications from messages generated by Autopilot

  • When disabled, you will receive email notifications from real users (and depending on what you have selected in the Message Filters, you can filter them even more)
